Supervision approach

Having gone through Supervised Experience myself, I found the process incredibly helpful and accelerated my learning and development as a practitioner. I had a fantastic supervisor who was incredibly helpful and I want to provide the same experience to new SE candidates. The reflective and self-questioning nature of the SE experience will be what gets you to challenge, appraise and ultimately upskill your own abilities as a Sports Scientist and that is what I encourage practitioners to do. I'll be there to support remotely, but preferentially in person too, if its possible to do so. I genuinely believe the SE pathway is an excellent process for developing yourself as a Sports Scientist and I am happy to be a small part of that journey for other Sports Scientists in our field.

Further information

My first role in professional football was in 2014 with Southampton Football Club. Since then I have worked with numerous other clubs across a range of environments including AFC Bournemouth, Barnsley FC, Lincoln City FC, Notts County FC, The English FA, Liverpool Women and Blackburn Rovers Women. I am fortunate enough to have worked with U9's to 1st Team athletes, from Premier League, Championship, League 1 & 2, Women's Super League and Women's National League clubs. I loved my time in elite football but I wanted to bring my passion for developing athletes to more players from all walks of life, so now I run The Physical Performance Hub Ltd. a company providing a multi-disciplinary Sports Science & Medicine team to athletes of all ages and abilities in our area and beyond. I work with footballers every day from Premier League 1st team level to grassroots players. I am passionate about developing our industry and helping practitioners push the boundaries of how we can support the athletes we work with - I am fortunate that I've been able to do it for over 10 years and now I want to help others do the same and beyond.
